    The successful candidate should have experience with one or more of the following;

    – network cable installation

    Electronics training and background a plus. Travel throughout our territory – while home on weekends. On call rotation. An individual with a strong worth ethic who is self-motivated and has good customer service skills is what we are looking for.

This very detailed administrative position is responsible for communicating bids, progress billing, collections and job costing.

    Audio Acoustics is growing and has an immediate opening for a talented CAD Designer/Estimator to join our team. This individual is responsible for drafting and designing audio/visual systems and nurse call systems.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Create electrical/architectural drawings for integrated A/V systems and nurse call systems, working with Sales Staff to create drawings
    • Serves as liaison between sales and installation of products and services.
    • Drafters create project drawings from blueprints, sketches and photos. Drafters are often responsible for important calculations that accompany drawings
    • Investigate job requirements as needed, coordinate between disciplines and produce working documents utilizing AutoCAD or REVIT. Work closely with the technical team members, vendors, and clients in producing final drawings and completing design tasks
    • Review assigned projects in the pre-sale and post-sale, pre-order stages. Make sure all parts needed are listed correctly.
    • Update drawings for as-builts

    Qualifications

    • Able to use three dimensional (3D) modeling, perform construction estimating and work with specialized software. Good communication and documentation skills are also important because drafters need to communicate with employees and the workers who will follow their designs.
    • AA/AS degree and/or technical certifications in electrical design are preferred. Possible on the job training provided.
    • Working knowledge of low voltage systems (AV, Intercom, Security) preferred
    • AutoCAD experience – willing to train the right candidate
    • Understanding of audio visual design standards and terminology preferred
    • Strong math skills
    • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
    • High level of integrity and work ethic
    • Understanding of contractor/construction process
    • Must be able to read blue prints – willing to train the right candidate
    • Detail oriented and strong time management skills
